| The 1st Euro-African Campus for Cultural Cooperation will take place at the Joaquim Chissano Conference Centre in Maputo, Mozambique, on 22-26 June 2009. The event aims to provide a meeting, training and exchange point for cultural agents in Africa and Europe to reflect, transfer knowledge, exchange experiences and discuss possible joint initiatives in the field of cultural cooperation, in the broader context of the contribution of culture to sustainable development. The Tambo International Art Camp and Festival "Celebrating Cultural Diversity" 2009 is taking place from the 14th to the 20th of July at the Cultural Centre "Tambo", in Pemba, Mozambique. It will be a week of art workshops, visits to local artists and performances. The objectives are to promote cultural diversity through bringing artists and interested parties together from Pemba and other parts of the world to come and make art, exchange ideas and experience the cultural diversity of Pemba and the corners of the world from where the participants live. |
